A new innovative after school program, nurturing talents and encouraging dreams

From the WMC Action News 5 article:

A new after school program aims to fight juvenile crime and close the educational achievement gap in the Frayser community.

Youth Academy of Dreams will help guide youth ages 5 - 18 with programs that include, but are not limited to, mentoring, sports and education with the help of family members and community supporters.

The program is the brain child of the Memphis Police Department's Sergeant Craig Littles. "I have always wanted a facility that allowed us to implement all of our programming after school and under one roof. We are all dedicated to providing a safe learning environment that deters our youth from crime and other negative influences." said Sergeant Littles.

The students will have a wealth of resources including a computer lab, game room and physical activities that span from tennis, track and field to golf and swimming.
